Bimetallic steam traps - the principle of operation of the steam trap is based on the temperature difference between steam and condensate. The working element of a bimetallic condensate trap is a valve stem with bimetallic plates attached to it. This unit consists of separately bonded pairs of plates with different expansion coefficients.
